Celebrating Our Environment – Happy Mazingira Day!
On 10 October, Kenya marks Mazingira Day — our national day dedicated to the environment. “Mazingira” is the Swahili word for environment, and the day reminds us that protecting our land, water, forests, and air is a shared responsibility.
This year’s focus is clear and powerful:
From community tree-planting drives to the national goal of growing 15 billion trees by 2032, Mazingira Day is more than a holiday. It is a call to action. Every seedling planted, every clean-up organized, and every conscious choice we make contributes to restoring ecosystems and building a greener, more resilient Kenya for future generations.
Whether you planted a tree, reduced plastic use, or simply shared an environmental message this week — thank you. Your small actions matter.
Honouring the People Who Serve – Happy Customer Service Week!
At the same time, Customer Service Week (5–9 October 2026) has been celebrated around the world under the theme “The Extra Mile.”
This week recognises the people who go above and beyond for others every day — customer service teams, frontline staff, support agents, and everyone who turns ordinary interactions into memorable experiences.
Great service is not only about solving problems. It is about listening with empathy, responding with care, and creating moments that leave people feeling valued. The same spirit of responsibility and collective action we celebrate on Mazingira Day is what makes excellent customer service possible.
