💰 Membership payment of KSh 25,800

I am publishing this warning because I am seeking help from other applicants who may have had a similar experience with an alleged grant and membership programme presented as being linked to the European Union Development Fund (EUDF) and ATIAO.

I paid a membership fee of KSh 25,800 after receiving information suggesting that I would benefit from a grant or funding programme.

I subsequently received requests for additional documentation, including an AML affidavit and a financial-clearance certificate, before the alleged funds could be released.

🔎 Why I became concerned

The request for further documentation raised concerns because the process appeared urgent and involved additional legal and financial requirements.

I am therefore seeking independent clarification concerning the programme, the organisations involved, the alleged funding source, and the legal basis for the additional documentation that was requested.

⚠️ Official Warning Concerning Alleged EUDF–Global Offers

🇪🇺 Warning from the EU Delegation to Zimbabwe

The EU Delegation to Zimbabwe has warned the public about fraudulent grant offers using the name “European Union Development Fund (EUDF–Global)”.

According to the warning, fraudulent offers may use EU logos, official-looking documents, websites and grant letters before requesting personal information, banking details or payments.

The warning states that such offers are not official EU funding opportunities.

Key precaution:

Applicants should independently verify grant opportunities through official EU websites and official EU Delegation channels and should be cautious about requests to pay fees in connection with supposed EU grants.

This warning is relevant to my experience because I paid a membership fee and was subsequently asked to arrange additional AML and financial-clearance documentation.

I am therefore requesting that the circumstances surrounding the programme, payment and alleged grant be independently investigated and verified.

I also request a transparent written explanation concerning the programme and the organisation that received the payment.

A genuine funding opportunity should be independently verifiable through appropriate official institutional channels.

The alleged grant should therefore be checked against official EU funding platforms and the relevant EU Delegation website rather than relying only on documents, logos, certificates, emails, websites or social-media accounts supplied by programme organisers.

1. Identify the exact legal name of the organisation.
2. Verify its registration independently.
3. Verify the alleged funding institution.
4. Check whether the grant programme appears on an official institutional website.
5. Verify the grant reference or award number independently.
6. Verify the official email domain used by the organisation.
7. Confirm whether any requested payment is legitimate and properly documented.
8. Do not rely solely on logos, certificates or official-looking documents.

Remember:

An official-looking document, logo, website or certificate does not by itself establish that a grant programme is genuine. Independent verification is essential.
